A. i know what your going through i love taking pictures but i have the hardest time deciding what to shoot. I've asked people this question before. the answer i got were "you can take a picture of anything but you have to know how to shoot it" One day pick one color to shoot say red. then go around your house and shoot everything that's red, then move to the backyard and around town... Then the next day your shooting pick another color (or you can do this with shapes) either way it will get you out and shooting...take your time be creative, its a must to develop your photographic eye

IDEAS................??
Q. Does anyone have any ideas for "themes" for a club called "The Diversity Club" which is also known as "Students Taking Action Regarding Tolerance". Thanks so much!
Asked by Cory - Wed Sep 17 20:26:30 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Do different things each week that can be educational. For one, you could feature a student and do a write-up on them, always making sure you include kids that don't fit your diversity message, otherwise it is useless. Just a one page interview with a pic and post it on bulletin boards. This will instill pride in a lot and many will read and want to be interviewed. Other things you can do is have events maybe once a month, like a meet and greet.

A. congratulations, first of all. next, keep in mind the biggest thing on his mind right now is getting home to see you. And to relax. He sin't going to want a big raging party. He wants to be home with you. He would probably like to curl up on the couch next to you, eat a homecooked meal, and just be with you. I know you feel the need to do soemthing special, and I think you should...but for the first day he is home, give him the gift of being at home...

What ideas do you have for a school dance being done as fundraiser?
Q. My community service group is doing a coat drive and we thought maybe a dance would be a fun way to get the kids involved in charities. So far we have one idea of how were going to get kids to give in jackets. (A raffle) We need more ways to get them to bring coats. Any ideas? Also the dance is being held october 30th with sort of a halloween theme. If you'd give me decor (decoration) ideas that'd be nice too.

Any ideas on how to get my dogs involved with crafts for Christmas gifts?
Q. This is an odd question, I know. But my mother in law really loves crafts, and our three dogs. I was thinking about getting our dogs involved in making stuff for her for a Christmas present. Maybe have them put their paw prints all over something with paint or something. But I can't think of any good ideas. I tried looking it up online, but couldn't find anything. Apparently this is a weird idea! Any awesome ideas? I'd love the help. Thanks!!

Any ideas for doing a baseball game dedication?
Q. My cousin was killed in a car accident in 1993 and in 2001 a baseball diamond was dedicated to him through a local park district. We as a family are going to do a baseball game in memory of him in a few weeks and I would like to put a large "memory box" together. I am planning on taking lots of pictures and i want to record the family playing the game. Also, we are having t-shirts made up. Any other ideas? Other things we could do, or make? Ideas for a memory box that i could make or buy? Any ideas are great! Thanks all!

Any ideas on how to serve community service?
Q. I've reasently been inducted into the national honor society at my high school. As a membership requirement we have to serve a minimun of 12 hours community service each semester. The problem is, I have no idea what kinds of things to do!! Baby sitting and church projects don't count. Plese help me come up with ideas. When ever I think of community service I think of picking up trash by the side of the road in a bright orange jump suit and having all the cars driving by and laughing at the teenage screw up. I really, really don't want to do that. Does anyone have any fun ideas about what type of community service projects I could do?
Asked by nakora_free - Sat Mar 17 22:03:05 2007 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments

A. That's a different kind of community service. The orange jump suit crew doesn't need you. Though if you want to volunteer for a roadside cleanup or a stream or lake side clean up volunteer with an ecology group that adopts a stream or a roadside. This would be with a bunch of ppl who care about ecology and are decent folks. You can probably find a group that adopts specific areas like that through your state dept of natural resources or local park dept. For other kinds of community service call the United Way or Volunteer Bureau in your area or look in the yellow pages or talk to your school counselor about groups in the area that help people in need. Ideas how to start and continue my stories?
Q. (I wasn't sure which category this question fell into...) I have a immense love for books. Everything seems to play an interest in me, therefore I want to accomplish writing a novel. I have a lot of good ideas, but I can never begin or continue them. They just remain at their basic level. Any tips on how I can think up a good idea for a book and then never loosing interest in the middle of writing it? Thanks!
Asked by Brea C - Sat Feb 14 20:46:54 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I did that all the time. I am now working on chapter 10 of my current novel. Well that's 9 chapters longer than any of my old ones. Try outlining. Some people hate outlines. I say if nothing else is working, it's worth a shot. Many google references can help you with novel outlines, because there are no hard rules. For me, writing as much detail about the story and planting information strategically was the best method. For others, it is just simple sentences describing different scenes. Some people write whole paragraphs as an outline The point is, you get your whole story and conflict in mind. Then you can set goals. My first point of conflict was what kept pushing me. My character's love interest is my next goal that keeps me going.

What are your ideas for eco-friendly projects or inventions?
Q. I am working at a green design company that is looking for new ideas. These could be ideas for buildings, for products, or for projects. Basically, any idea that seems good, but requires some engineering or design work. Our selection criteria include aesthetics, affordability (we are looking for things "for the masses", not things for the super-rich), and environmental sustainability.

A. The ideas are all out there - they just need to be put into practice. Solar power, wind and wave power. Green housing, more tree planting (grant aided) for the use of everybody including birds, insects and people. This would include picnic areas, barbecues, camping sites, bridges, ponds etc. What are your ideas?

Any ideas on what items I can put on a scavenger hunt list for a Mardi Gras themed party?
Q. This is for my 12 year old daughters party. It will be boys and girls, and it is a Mardi Gras theme. There will be 16 kids, and I am not sure how we are going to break them up in teams yet. Also, if anyone has any other ideas on activities that they could do besides this, that would be great. I know they want a dance off, we have a pool table, foosball table, and a pin ball machine for them to play with too. Thanks in advance for the ideas!

A. Hopefully you can get some ideas from this: The scavenger hunt could look for coins, masks, bracelets, necklaces, hats, blowouts, party horns, any Mardi Gras type clothing they can find. Some activities, depending on whether you have the time to make up some games: # Crown a Mardi Gras King and Queen. Have a vote. You could do this every hour to add to the excitement. # Limbo, just need a stick, 2 people to hold it and some great music. Keep lowering the stick until there is a winner. # Blow and Suck All you need is a pack of straws, a ping pong ball or card and two teams of people. You simply pass the ball or card from the front of the team to the back using only the straws. # Stalls with water pistols to be fired at cans. The… [cont.]

Any ideas on something creative to do for this old window w/frame?
Q. I have this old window whose frame is painted on one side (the side that would show if you were to hang it on a wall). I was initially thinking of painting on it, then thought to use it as a collage frame and put photos on it. Any ideas or website ideas appreciated. Thanks!

A. You know I was just asking that question a few weeks ago. I found some really good ideas. You could practice ridding bare back. Walk, Trot, then Lope. It is kinda fun to do by your self. Then you can set up an obstacle coarse. You know. Put a few jumps only a 3 or 4 inches off the ground. Put a trap down or something that will make noise when going over it. Have him back between something. Put cones out. Then time your self and try to get your best time. There is another game I really like to practice my bare back skills. It is called ride-a-buck. All you do is put a dollar bill under your thigh and try to keep there through all of your horses gates on bare back. It takes some practice. Also you can teach your horse a simple trick. Try… [cont.]
