What Georgia colleges do you recommend that are part of the state university system?
Q. My daughter's first choice is UGA, but we need a viable back-up plan if she doesn't get in. We went for a tour of Georgia College and State University, but weren't impressed. I kind of like Georgia Southern, but I hear it's a big party school. (She's a pretty diligent student, but she also likes to have fun.) If you have any personal experience -- good or bad -- please advise. I'd like her to take advantage of the Hope scholarship - so we're honing in on state schools. Many thanks!

A. Well Im a senior at Georgia State University and I love it! It is not a party school- we do not even have greek housing but it is located downtown which is actually pretty cool, I love it. Also, Im a business major and the GSU Robinson College of Business is one of the top ranked in the country among business schools and even had grad programs that have been ranked in the top 10 for the last 14 years in a row... But campus life is great, we have brand new dorms in fact. We are getting a new football team with head coach bill curry in fall 2010 and everyone has been excited about that for the past 2 years so that will be a big deal- games will be played int he ga dome! overall its a great school, and they really help you get work… [cont.]

Do the children of Georgia teachers go to state colleges for free?
Q. I once had a friend tell me that the children of Georgia teachers are given free tuition to a Georgia state university/college upon graduation from a public high school. Is this correct? I live and teach in Ohio but am considering a move to Georgia and was just curious.

What actions did Georgia take after seeing the events that took place during the Holocaust?
Q. I can't find any information on this. But I'm just trying to figure out what did Georgia change after seeing the effects of the Holocaust? Or what impact did the Holocaust have on Georgia? I would REALLY appreciate any information that you have on it. THANKS!(:

A. Are you asking about the state or the country of Georgia? It seems the country would be more applicable in your question, but I can't tell which you mean. Sounds like you're doing homework and have nothing to write! =)
