Where can I find information on Russian foreign policy during the 1920s?

A. I don't know about the 1920s. Byron Nelson's career from 1932-1946 included 63 PGA Tour wins. He said in an interview in Golf Digest that his career winnings totaled $182,000. I read that article last year, and I remembered that he talked about money and the Great Depression. Addendum: I found another interview of Byron Nelson at Golf.com: [Golf Magazine] Tell me more about the money you couldn't make in your heyday. [Byron Nelson] I won the 1936 Metropolitan Open, my first important tournament, with $5 in my pocket. From '36 to '42 I won 19 times including four majors, and my entire winnings were $25,495. That's about $4,000 a year. So I made my expenses. My career winnings were $182,000. In 1939, Cliff Roberts, who ran The… [cont.]

Q. How did conditions and/or policies in the 1920s lead to the Great Depression?
Asked by kimmel7 - Fri Dec 12 00:38:18 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. World War One helped create a massive Farming depression in the late 19-teens. During the war, Farmers were called upon to supply grain to Europe, because it was being ravaged by war and couldn't feed itself. When the war ended abruptly in 1918, the farmers in America had a huge surplus of grain, and no one to sell it to. Inflation skyrocketed on farms, grain went to waste, and huge numbers of farmers were forced to sell their farms or declare bankruptcy. The farm depression is just one thing that lead to the Great Depression a few years later.

A. The best that I can tell from the Child Welfare League is that Minnesota was the only state with minimum standards (including a 6 month trial period) for adoptions. Prior to that it was a matter of a social worker's recommendation to the court and the awarding of custody to the new parents. So the wait was only as long as it took to get a court date.

A. There was a recession following WWI. Although many were prospering and had 'roaring' times, the majority, especially the working class were experiencing very hard economical times. Back then there were few if no laws protecting workers, no minimum wage or unemployment insurance and working conditions were not what they are today as there were no regulations on how corporations treated employees. Most people in the Roaring Twenties were struggling to get by and eke out a subsistence

A. In baggy suits. Their pants were more high-waisted than today's pants. And they were almost ALWAYS wearing a hat. Jazz men in particular were iconic in their zoot suits. Younger men wore what was called the Oxford style, which was a little more casual than a full suit. Men's wear is sort of hard to describe for any one era, because there are ususally only subtle changes from one decade to the next, but here's some photos and things that should help you. A. actually, i think some 1920s trends are back in style. but aim for minimal (simple, solids) or romantic (lace, ruffles). short dresses and stockings are hot right now too. dangling necklaces could probably work. there's also short hair, if you don't already got it. be yourself, and do what you feel like.

What difference were there between Catholics and Protestants in the 1920s?
Q. Maybe this might help but I still don't get it ! In the 1920s, battles over evolution, immigration, prohibition, and the resurgent of Ku Klux Klan dominated election after election. Those issues pitted newly arrived, saloon-frequenting, big city Catholics against old stock, teetotaling, small-town Protestants. Note that this is a generalisation !!! thank you :)

A. There was mosty the same differences they've had since the Protestants split from Catholics - what ur listing is more of a secular nature than religious. I almost became Catholic but found it no better than Protestant churches I grew up with but I learned whats really wrong: The Bible severely warns us not 2 trust humans, not even ourselves (Jer 10:2-5,23; Is 2:22; Job 12:11; Prov 14:12; Acts 17:11). So carefully think over what I say. Dont just believe or dismiss what I write. It might save u from making the same mistakes made by many, getting caught up in religious beliefs that have nothing 2 do with finding/knowing God (poisoned tree & its fruit). Anything practiced as a ritual has no meaning under the NT Covenant. The Hebrew rituals… [cont.]
